Nursing Homes

Nursing homes are also known as skilled nursing facilities.  They offer a higher acuity of care for those needing more medical attention and rehabilitation services.

What is a Skilled Nursing Facility?

A nursing home is a specially designed facility providing residential care to people needing therapy, preventive care, and rehabilitation in a hospital-like environment. Here, healthcare professionals offer the elderly a wide range of services and assistance, such as medical care, emotional support, companionship, and more.

Nursing homes, sometimes called convalescent homes or skilled nursing facilities, have different levels of care for long-term and short-term residents.

Is a Nursing Home Right For Me?

Professional care in a comfortable home. Skilled Nursing Facilities offer both short- and long-term care. Short-term care is designed for seniors who may be recovering from surgery, hospitalization and/or illness and need rehabilitation or more time before returning home. Long-term care benefits those who may have chronic conditions that require specialized or 24/7 support experienced professionals.
